Hattī coffee table

Design Brief

Create a piece of furniture that is designed to be fabricated (cut and assembled) from sheet material (wood, plastic, metal, ect) that is easily fabricated with hand tools and CNC router.

Intended User (myself)

Age: 21 - 30

Living Environment: Limited Space Apartment or small house

Inspiration

Prototypes

Prototype Findings:

1) a single piece of material adds to the sleekness of the design

2) adding color to the epoxy does not show unless the wood breaks.

Fabrication Method

1) Cut exact shape with CNC Router.

2) Kurf the wood to bend it in to the shape.

3) Use clear epoxy to hold bend and make a small jig to hold the wood in the intended shape during the curing process.
